KUWAIT CITY, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait will host Expo 2018 in early February, said Undersecretary of Foreign Trade Sector in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Namer Al-Sabah on Monday.
Kuwait Expo 2018, to be held on Feb. 6-10, is a great opportunity to boost economic and commercial ties between Kuwait and the world. It will support development in the country and promote further cooperation between private and public sectors, he said.
The event held every two years will include a session for member-countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and a national expo involving small and medium-sized enterprises, he added.
The expo, organized by the Kuwaiti National Knowledge Economy Center in partnership with the Kuwaiti General Secretariat Supreme Council for Planning and Development, aims to allow local companies to receive investment opportunities with international companies which have experience in the field, said the official.
