JAKARTA, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian shuttlers have set a target of winning one gold medal in the ongoing Indonesian Masters tournament.
A senior official from the country's badminton association Susi Susanti, said she wanted all players competing in the tournament to give their best performances.
"The target is victory in one event, however I insist on all our players performing well," she said.
Susi says that the country's badminton association has been preparing for the tournament for more than a year.
According to the association¸ Indonesia has thrown its full weight behind the tournament.
This tournament forms part of the BWF Superseries which offers a total prize of 350,000 U.S. dollars (about 2.24 million yuan). Most of the top 20 badminton players in the world compete in it, and according to the organizing committee, there are 459 participants competing in a series of 12 tournaments.
