PARIS, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- France's leading car maker PSA launched a smartphone application that would allow Chinese customers to receive a loan within minutes, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
The company's financing subsidiary in China, DPCAFC, now offers O2O solutions (online to offline, and offline to online) that "allows customers to obtain a loan in just a few minutes using their smartphone, giving dealers the freedom to focus on meeting customer needs."
The new app was based on different technologies such as electronic signatures, optical character recognition and facial recognition techniques. It allows customers to "submit their loan applications and to receive the answers in a few minutes and few clicks," the company said.
"The new app illustrates (PSA's) commitment to improving the customer experience, facilitating access to credit, and providing a simple, user-friendly tool as part of the car buying process," said Franck Malochet, deputy Chief Executive Officer of DPCAFC.
