KHARTOUM, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Sudan reappointed Sunday Salah Abdallah Gosh as chief of National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) after nine years' leave.
Gosh was the former NISS chief in 1999-2009, during which he enhanced its cooperation between the NISS and the United States Central Intelligence Agency.
He served as presidential adviser after leaving NISS, until early 2011 when he was relieved from the post.
In November 2012, Gosh was accused of being involved in a military coup attempt before he was released by a presidential pardon in 2013.
