2 dead in military jet crash in western Turkey

ISTANBUL, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- A Turkish military training plane on Friday crashed in the western province of Izmir, killing two pilots, local media reported.

CNNTurk reported that the jet crashed 23 minutes after taking off from a local base.

The Turkish military has confirmed the deaths of two crew members, it added.
