FRANKFURT, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 21.88 points, or 0.18 percent, to close at 12,483.79 points.
Energy group E.ON won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.52 percent. German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel rose by 3.23 percent and 2.57 percent respectively.
German airlines Lufthansa lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 2.34 percent. Tire specialist Continental and marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group went down by 1.05 percent and 0.87 percent respectively.
Deutsche Telekom was the most-traded share with a turnover of 343.89 million euros (422.95 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
