GUIZHOU, China, March 4 (Xinhua) -- U23 player Huang Zichang marked his debut in the Chinese Super League(CSL) with a goal while Alex Teixeira scored a brace as Jiangsu Suning took an away victory 3-1 over Guizhou Hengfeng in the first round of the CSL new season here on Sunday.
Suning were audacious in the staring line-up as coach Fabio Capello fielded three U23 players in the 4-4-2 formation with the new arrival Gabriel Paletta from AC Milan also being called into action.
Suning took a dream start just seven minutes into the game, Wu Xi's through ball released Teixeira, the Brazilian burst into the box, cutting inside past the defender and unleashing a blockbuster into the net with both power and precision.
Suning rode the momentum quickly six minutes later as Huang Zichang made the most use of his first appearance in CSL with his header on Yang Xiaotian's cross looping into the far top corner of the net.
The away side almost made it three but Li Ang's trademark free kick was parried away by Hengfeng goalkeeper Su Boyang.
Hengfeng pulled one goal back on the stroke of half-time, a dinked free kick found Steve Trawally who smashed a volley, scoring the first goal after joining the club.
Hengfeng had the more aggressive start after the break as Nikica Jelavic's volley stung Gu Chao's gloves while Steve nodded over.
Huang Zichang shone again when he ran rings around a defender, resisting a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge, but his shot was too weak to surprise the goalkeeper.
Teixeira bagged a brace on 80th minute, it was incorrectly flagged offside at first but was confirmed by the video assistant referee (VAR).
Teixeira missed a great chance to complete a hat trick in the dying minutes as his attempt in a close range went wide of the upright.
