DOHA, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Advanced warships from navies of different countries have been on show at the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2018) in Doha, the Qatari local media reported Monday.
A procession of advanced warships from different navies have arrived at Hamad port to participate at the sixth installment of DIMDEX 2018.
More than 11 warships from the navies of UK, USA, India, Italy, Oman, Thailand, France, Pakistan and Bangladesh would join at the exhibition which aims to showcase the latest naval, maritime and security innovations to critical audiences from across the globe.
The two-day maritime defense and security event (DIMDEX 2018) is hosting and organizing by Qatar Armed Forces at the Qatar National Convention Center in Qatar's capital Doha on March 12-14.
On March 13, The Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC) would be held as one of the key elements of DIMDEX 2018.
During (MENC) conference, prominent leaders and experts would share and discuss the factors affecting the prospects for international navies and militaries, as well as the military and maritime industry in the region.
DIMDEX 2018 in its sixth edition, presents a premier programme that provides the maritime and security community with access to cutting-edge military technology and the opportunity to build and strengthen relations with key stakeholders.
According to the exhibitor list, there are more than 180 companies, 380 official delegations, "national participation" from 40 countries and participants from 90 countries are visiting DIMDEX 2018.
