SINGAPORE, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) wend up 0.38 percent or 13.54 points to close at 3553.73.
A total of 1.48 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.32 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.01 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 213 to 199.
