BEIRUT, March 14 (Xinhua) -- The Lebanese army on Wednesday issued a warning for remote control drone owners urging them to get licenses for flying their vehicles and for drone photography.
The Army Command-Guidance Directorate warned in a statement against the "threats of flying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Lebanon's territories, mainly military centers and sensitive locations without a license issued by the Guidance Directorate."
The statement said any drone flying illegally without meeting the requirements "will be brought down and owners will be legally prosecuted," citing "serious risk to the official institutions, the security and public safety."
