FRANKFURT, April 3 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 94.28 points, or 0.78 percent, to close at 12,002.45 points.
German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies lost the most among the blue chips, down by 2.34 percent, followed by chemical and consumer goods company Henkel and Deutsche Post, which lost 2.33 percent and 1.96 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer BMW, Volkswagen and reinsurance company Munich Re were the top three winners, rising 1.09 perccent, 0.41 percent and 0.32 percent respectively.
German multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 293.40 million euros (361.11 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
