CHICAGO, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) futures were trading higher on Monday morning with soybeans posting double-digit gains over signs of demand.
As of 1447 GMT, May corn was up 2.5 U.S. cents at 3.91 dollars per bushel, while May wheat was up 12.5 cents at 4.8475 dollars and May soybeans up 14 cents at 10.4775 dollars per bushel.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported on Friday that 458,000 metric tons of soybeans were sold to an unknown destination, with more than two-thirds were for delivery in the current marketing year that ends on Aug. 31.
Meanwhile, unusually cold weather in the southern U.S. plains has sent CBOT wheat prices higher amid concerns that low temperatures will hurt winter wheat crops. Enditem
