NAIROBI, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) indicative indices declined for the fourth straight session on Monday pulled down by bearish stocks.
The benchmark NSE 20 Share Index went down to close at 3,801.65 from 3,805.23 points in the previous session on Friday. The index declined by 15.03 points on Friday last week.
The Nairobi All Share Index (NASI), on the other hand, decreased to close Monday at 189.67 from 191.35 points.
Equity turnover stood at 5.5 million U.S. dollars on a volume of 17 million shares from 7.4 million dollars from 25 million shares on Friday.
The most traded stocks were Safaricom, Equity Bank, Kenya Commercial Bank, Cooperative Bank and Mumias Sugar.
Some of the stocks whose prices rose were Uchumi (6.4 percent), Housing Finance Corporation of Kenya (3.3 percent) and Barclays Bank (3 percent). Enditem
