JAKARTA, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Downhill racers from Indonesia will compete against the world's top racers in the 24th Asian Mountain Bike Championships in the Philippines next month.
According to the manager of the Indonesian team Budi Saputra, the tournament will take place in Cebu in the Philippines in early May.
The competition will be used as a barometer to measure the capability and skill of the Indonesian downhill racers.
The event will also be used to find out the strength of opponents taking part in the Asian Games.
Three male racers and one female racer have undergone training in Melbourne for two weeks as part of efforts to boost their performances ahead of the Asian games.
