LUANDA, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Angola's 1º de Agosto defeated HC Heritage of the DRC on Wednesday by 35-16 in a group A match of the African Women's Handball Cup Winners' Cup in Cairo, Egypt.
With this victory, 1º de Agosto finished undefeated in this phase, after beating Dynamic of Cameroon by 27-13, Egypt's Al Ahly (31-15) and Cara of Congo (31-14).
In the quarter-finals, 1º de Agosto, seeking to retain the title, will play on Thursday against the Cote d'Ivoire Habitat, fourth-placed of Group B.
After resting in the third round, the other Angolan team of Petro de Luanda also finished unbeaten in Group B. It started by defeating the Cote d'Ivoire Habitat by 30-15, followed by the FAP of Cameroon by 30-17 and defeated Abo of Congo by 36-24.
