CAIRO, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian and Bahraini Special Forces started joint military drills in Bahrain to deal with threats to the region's security and stability, Egyptian Army announced Monday.
In a statement, the army said the exercises include Special Forces training, counter-terrorism tactics, freeing hostages and storming facilities.
The aim of these drills is to reach the highest levels of efficiency and preparedness to face any danger that may pose a threat to the region's security and stability, the statement said.
Egypt annually holds several military exercises with Arab, African and Western countries to boost military cooperation and exchange military expertise with friendly states.
