TOKYO, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened higher Friday tracking gains made on Wall Street overnight.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 102.06 points, or 0.46 percent, from Thursday to 22,421.67.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 4.48 points, or 0.25 percent, at 1,776.61.
Information and communication, real estate and mining-linked issues comprised those that gained the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
