FRANKFURT, May 9 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 30.85 points, or 0.24 percent, to close at 12,943.06 points.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.05 percent. Commerzbank and material manufacturer Covestro rose by 3.13 percent and 1.80 percent respectively.
German airlines Lufthansa lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 3.50 percent. Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel and pharmaceutical company Merck went down by 2.34 percent and 1.93 percent respectively.
Siemens was the most-traded share with a turnover of 573.53 million euros (681.29 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
