KUNMING, May 20 (Xinhua) -- A forest fire that started Saturday in southwest China's Yunnan Province had been put out as of on Sunday morning, according to local authorities.
The fire, which started in Wanqiao Village at around 3 p.m. Saturday, burnt around 150 mu (10 hectares) of forest, according to the city government of Dali.
Around 1,460 people from the local armed police, forest police, militia and fire fighting forces were dispatched to the scene. Two helicopters were used to drop water from the air.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
