TEHRAN, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed as a training plane crashed in Iran's Imam Khomeini Airport (IKA) on Tuesday evening, semi-official ISNA news agency reported.
In the incident, two crew members were killed immediately and a rescue operator was injured, the country's emergency authorities were quoted as saying.
The plane crashed at 7:15 p.m. local time (1445 GMT) on a training mission in the southern district of capital Tehran.
Suburban Tehran has already witnessed such incidents over the past years.
A training plane crashed in Alborz Province near Tehran in September 2016, and a similar accident occurred the same year in Nazarabad, killing both the pilot and the co-pilot.
