HELSINKI, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Top U.S. and Russian military commanders will meet in the Finnish capital here Friday, the Finnish defense forces announced early Thursday.
Information regarding the content of the meeting has not been revealed.
The initiative to meet came from Russia and the United States, while Finland has arranged the meeting but won't participate.
The U.S. delegation will be headed by General Joseph F. Dunford Jr. and the Russian delegation by General Valery Gerasimov.
The two commanders will also meet separately with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto and General Jarmo Lindberg, the commander of the Finnish defense forces.
