GAZA, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Thousands of Palestinians are to join on Friday afternoon the anti-Israel rallies and protests organized by the Highest Commission for the Great March of Return in eastern Gaza Strip, close to the border with Israel.

The committee called this Friday as "the Friday of the million-man march for Jerusalem," which marks the 10th such activity since the outbreak of the rallies against Israel on March 30.

The protests are organized as the commission accused the Israeli army of vandalizing tires and tents in southern Gaza Strip that are usually used during the protests in five different locations along with the border between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel.

The commission called on Gaza populations throughout mosque loudspeakers to join the march after Friday prayers.

Protesters usually join Friday noon prayers at the camps that had been established in eastern Gaza on March 30. The number of demonstrators is expected to increase later on the afternoon.

Palestinian factions called on the participants to maintain the popular momentum and activities of the marches until the achievement of their goals.

Israeli war planes threw flyers over Gaza city on Thursday afternoon, warning the people there not to join Friday's protests and rallies in eastern Gaza Strip.

"If you think logic, you will find out that going to the fence of the border is not worth doing it, because it is harmful. Therefore, it is for your interests not to participate in the violent protests at the border and not to violate it," read the flyers.

Palestinian medics said that at least 120 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the popular return marches on the borders between the Gaza Strip and Israel on March 30, with almost daily clashes on the border.
