CHENGDU, June 11 (Xinhua) -- China and central and eastern European countries Monday established two centers in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, in a bid to promote cultural exchange between the two sides.

One center, set up in the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, is dedicated to training young art talent from China and central and eastern Europe, providing them with a platform to show their talent.

"The center will hold regular training and exchange programs in an effort to enhance mutual understanding between young art talent from the two sides," said Yong Dunquan, a professor with the conservatory.

The other center will explore cooperation between the two sides in cross-border commerce of cultural products, incubation of creative industries, art auction, as well as trading of cultural equity.

"Through the center, more exhibitions, shows and art festivals from Europe will be held in Chengdu," said Li Bin, director of Chengdu International Cultural Exchange Center.
