CHENGDU, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Male-female panda twins were born in China's Sichuan Province Monday morning.

Panda Qing He gave birth to the twins at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

The female cub weighed 117.2 grams and was born at 7:53 a.m., with the male cub following 23 minutes later, weighing 140.8 grams.

They are the second male-female panda twins born this year, according to base staff. Nine baby pandas were born in the base this year, including four pairs of twins.

Qing He, born on Sept. 24, 2001, had her first twin babies in 2015.
