OTTAWA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Canada's main stock market edged down Tuesday as losses in the industrial sector weighed on the market.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index edged down 14.57 points, or 0.09 percent, to close the day at 16,263.16 points.
Barrick Gold gained 2.8 percent to 17.76 Canadian dollars, while Goldcorp rose 2.4 percent to 18.48 Canadian dollars.
BlackBerry climbed 1.9 percent to 12.92 Canadian dollars, while Shopify jumped 3.2 percent to 197.85 Canadian dollars.
Among industrial issues, Bombardier fell 2.5 percent to 5.07 Canadian dollars, while Canadian Pacific Railway declined 1.7 percent to 236.94 Canadian dollars. Enditem
