Living environment improved in rural China

Combined photos taken on July 14, 2009 (upper) and March 15, 2018 show villagers sitting in a thatched cottage and a new house in Shangbao Village of Napo County, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Located at China's southwest boarder, Napo County used to be a poverty-stricken place. Local government has devoted to infrastructure construction in the past decade and residents' living conditions have been greatly improved. (Xinhua/Zhang Ailin)
