RIYADH, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabian air forces intercepted on Tuesday a ballistic missile fired at its border city Jazan, Al Arabiya TV reported.
The report did not disclose further details about the missile attack. But usually such missiles are fired from Yemen by the Houthi rebels that controls the country's north.
Last Tuesday, a five-year-old child was injured by a shrapnel of a missile fire at the same city by the Houthi militias in Yemen.
Saudi air forces have intercepted a number of missiles fired by the Houthis, mostly targeting the kingdom's border cities. The capital Riyadh and the holy city of Mecca were also targeted.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a military coalition that fights the Houthi rebels in Yemen to support the exiled President Abdu-Rabbu Mansour Hadi since 2015.
