GUIYANG, July 11 (Xinhua) -- A new direct flight has been launched between Zunyi in southwest China's Guizhou Province and Krabi, Thailand.
The route will be operated weekly by Thailand's Newgen Airways, authorities in Zunyi said. Flights will depart from Krabi every Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. local time, and arrive in Zunyi at 9 p.m. The return flight will leave Zunyi at 10 p.m., and land in Krabi at 0:35 a.m. local time the next day.
Krabi International Airport is located in the south of Thailand. Krabi and the island of Phuket are popular tourist destinations for Chinese.
Zunyi is a historic city with a variety of natural and cultural sites. Its airport, which opened in 2015, is planning to launch direct flights to Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
