KIEV, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) will exceed the pre-crisis level in 2021, the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry said in its latest forecast Wednesday.
In 2021, the Ukrainian economy will be 1.6 percent greater than that in the pre-crisis 2013, said the forecast published on the ministry's website.
According to the forecast, economic growth in 2019-2021 will be supported mainly by the expansion of domestic consumer and investment demand.
For this year, the ministry raised its projection for the GDP growth by 0.2 percentage point to 3.2 percent.
The Ukrainian economy sunk into recession in the first quarter of 2014 and suffered a consolidated decline of 16.5 percent in 2014-2015.
Ukraine's GDP rose by 2.5 percent in 2017, after growing 2.3 percent in 2016.
