LONDON, July 21 (Xinhua) -- World bronze medalist Lyu Huihui of China won the women's javelin at the IAAF London Diamond League here on Saturday.
The 29-year-old, who finished third in the inaugural World Cup last Sunday, returned to the Olympic Stadium and won the title with a throw of 65.54 meters, beating Nikola Ogrodnikova of Czech Republic by 0.18 meters.
It was Lyu's second Diamond League victory this season after her win in Shanghai two months ago.
Chinese sprinter Xie Zhenye, who won the Meeting de Montreuil in Paris in June by running his personal best of 9.97 seconds, finished eighth in the men's 100m in a time of 10.01 seconds.
Ronnie Baker of the United States won the event in 9.90 for his fourth Diamond League victory.
In the women's 100m final, China's Wei Yongli finished fourth in 11.10 seconds. Two-time Olympic champion and seven-time world titlist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won in her season best of 10.98 seconds.
World pole vault champion Sam Kendricks of the United States cleared 5.92 meters for the title, beating world record holder Renaud Lavillenie to the second place.
