BERLIN, Jul 25 (Xinhua) -- Hoffenheim have completed the transfer of Ghana defender Kasim Adams Nuhu from Young Boys Bern, the Bundesliga club confirmed in an official statement on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old centre back reinforces Hoffenheim's defence after putting pen to paper on a five-year deal, stipulated until June 2023.
"Nuhu is strong in one-on-one and has still great potential. He is good in the air, which will do us good in the offense as well as defence," Hoffenheim's sporting director Alexander Rosen said.
The new arrival played since 2016 for Young Boys Bern and provided two goals in overall 41 appearances. Nuhu is since 2017 part of Ghana's national team where he scored twice in four caps.
"I felt welcome and wanted from the first moment. Now the time has come and I am very happy about the challenges in the Bundesliga and Champions League," Nuhu told the club's official homepage.
Hoffenheim encounter defending Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich for the season opener on Aug. 24. Enditem
