China's manufacturing PMI edges down in July

BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The purchasing managers' index (PMI) for China's manufacturing sector came in at 51.2 this month, down from 51.5 in June, the National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday.

A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below reflects contraction.
