International billiards tournament to be held in Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- 64 players from four countries will compete at an international three-cushion carom billiards tournament slated for Aug. 16-18 in Vietnam's southern Binh Duong province.

The 64 athletes include 59 Vietnamese players, including Tran Quyet Chien, who is ranked 12th in the world, Nguyen Quoc Nguyen (14th) and Ngo Dinh Nai (17th).

The three-day tournament's total cash prize is over 300 million Vietnamese dong (13,000 U.S. dollars), including 2,600 U.S. dollars for the champion.
