BEIRUT, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri will submit a proposal for the formation of a new government before Sept. 15, local media reported Monday.
"Hariri made a few calls during the weekend and he informed Lebanese political leaders about his intention to submit a new proposal for the formation of the government," according to Elnashra, an independent online newspaper.
Meanwhile, the National News Agency reported that Hariri expressed his hopes Monday to succeed in his efforts to form a government very soon in a bid to rise with the country toward prosperity.
Hariri has declared that although the process of cabinet formation is taking more time, there is no more tension among the different political parties.
"Some political parties are insisting on their cabinet share, but each party is making compromise in order to reach a consensus," he said.
Hariri is facing various hurdles in his attempt to form a 30-member national unity government, due to the rifts among rival politicians over the representation of the main Christian parties, as well as the Druze sect.
