NEW DELHI, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at the headquarters of the state-run public service broadcaster Doordarshan in the Indian capital Wednesday, officials said.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of any casualty in the blaze that started in the ground floor air-conditioning plant of Doordarshan Bhawan in central Delhi, a fire official said.
"The fire started around 1 p.m. local time. Five fire tenders were pressed into service to contain the flames within minutes. No one is injured in the fire," he said.
A probe has been ordered into the incident, the official added.
The fire came hours after four people were killed and 16 others injured in a massive fire at a highrise residential building in Mumbai.
Fires are common in buildings and factories across India because of lack of regards for basic safety norms and absence of fire-fighting equipment.
Last year, 14 people died in a major fire at two rooftop pubs in Mumbai.
