DUBAI, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) denied Houthi rebels' claim Monday saying the Dubai International Airport was attacked by a Houthi military drone, UAE state news agency WAM reported.
The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority said traffic at Dubai International Airport was going normal.
Yemen's Houthi rebels said earlier in the day through their social media channels that they attacked Dubai International Airport with a Sammad-3 drone.
In 2017, 88.2 million passengers traveled through the airport.
On July 26, the Iran-backed rebel group claimed they attacked the Abu Dhabi International Airport in the UAE's capital with the same drone.
The airport reported on that day that "an incident involving a supply vehicle" occurred at the airport.
The UAE is part of a Saudi-led Arab military coalition which has been fighting the Houthis since March 2015 to support the internationally-recognized government led by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
