RABAT, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan and South Korean senior officials met on Monday and discussed means to foster bilateral cooperation.
Speaker of Morocco's House of Representatives Habib El Malki held a meeting with visiting Deputy Speaker of South Korea's National Assembly Lee Ju-Young, and talked about opportunities of cooperation in vital areas including renewable energy, tourism and car industry.
During the meeting, El Malki lauded the distinguished friendship between the two countries, while Lee mentioned a memorandum of understanding between the legislative institutions of both countries.
South Korea attaches great importance to strengthening its relations with Morocco, a country that stands out by its important geostrategic position as a gateway to Africa and a link between Europe and the Middle East, he added.
Lee is currently on a visit in Morocco with a parliamentary delegation.
