JAKARTA, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- The sales of tickets for the Asian Games closing ceremony kicked off on Tuesday, committee of the Games disclosed here.
A total of 52,000 tickets are being sold for the ceremony scheduled on September 2 at Gelora Bung Karno sport stadium in the country's capital, deputy chairman of the committee (INASGOC) Francis Wanandi revealed.
That compares with a total of 40,000 tickets sold for the opening ceremony of the multi-sport event, according to the committee.
The tickets could be bought online at blibli.com, tiket.com and loket.com with prices hovering 500,000 (some 34.214 U.S. dollars to 2 million rupiah (equal to 136.855 U.S. dollars), Wanandi said in a statement issued by Indonesian presidential office.
The closing ceremony will show diversity of the countries and regions in the Asian region with performance of the talents of top artists and singers across Asia, said Wishnutama, creative director of the opening and closing ceremony.
The ceremony also aims to celebrate and honor the participants of the Asian Games, he said.
