ATHENS, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- A fire that broke out at the garage of a Greek passenger ferry sailing to Crete island on early Wednesday has been put out, leaving no injuries, Greek national news agency AMNA reported.
A total of 875 passengers and 141 crew members were on board Eleftherios Venizelos ferry which departed from Piraeus port late Tuesday.
The fire broke out while the ferry was sailing near Hydra island.
The captain reported that the fire which started from a truck was put out, and the ferry was returning to Piraeus port with company of Coast Guard vessels and other passenger ships, according to AMNA.
