China wins two titles at World Parachuting Championships in Bulgaria

SOFIA, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- China took two gold, two silver and four bronze medals at the 35th FAI World Freefall Style and Accuracy Landing Championships, which ended at Airfield Erden on Thursday.

Zhang Ling and Xing Yaping won the titles in the Female Style and Overall Female competitions.

Meanwhile, China snatched the silver medals in the Female Team Accuracy and Overall Female Team respectively.

China's four bronze medals came from Xing Yaping in the Female Style, Xiao Yao in the Female Accuracy, He Yanan in the Male Style and the Overall Male Team competitions.

In addition, China won four titles at the 9th FAI Junior World Freefall Style and Accuracy Landing Championships, which was held simultaneously with the senior's event. Xing Yaping took the gold medals in the Junior Female Accuracy, Junior Female Style and Junior Female Overall, and He Yanan came first at the Junior Male Freefall Style.

Nearly 300 competitors from 36 countries and regions participated in the six-day event, which kicked off on Saturday.
