SUVA, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Four Fijian men and a woman were in police custody on Sunday for an aggravated robbery at the home of a businessman in Nadi, Fiji's third largest city.
Fijian police said a group of men armed with cane knives had illegally entered the home of the 40-year-old victim last Sunday and threatened his family before stealing cash, jewellery and electronic items and fled in the victim's car which was later found abandoned.
The police task force in the western part of Fiji said Sunday they had been working around the clock in pursuing the suspects and also managed to recover items believed to have been stolen.
Two of the men arrested were alleged to be involved in the aggravated robbery while two others were detained after stolen items were reportedly found in their possession. The fifth suspect, a woman, was arrested as she was also found with items believed to have been robbed from the businessman's home.
