BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislator Li Zhanshu on Sunday met with Equatorial Guinea's President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo ahead of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
Li, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, said the summit will send out a clear signal of China and Africa strengthening solidarity and cooperation and standing up to challenges against the backdrop of complex changes in the international situation, and that it will help build a community with a shared future for humanity.
Noting that China is a reliable, good partner for both Equatorial Guinea and Africa, Obiang said the summit will become an important accelerator for building the Africa-China community with a shared future.
