The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) on Tuesday announced that the fighting parties in the capital Tripoli have signed a UN-sponsored agreement to end the fierce fighting in the city. "Under the auspices of Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Ghassan Salame, a cease-fire agreement was reached and signed today to end all hostilities, protect civilians, safeguard public and private property, and reopen Meitiga Airport in Tripoli, Libya," the Mission said.
