TIRANA, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Albanian children from about 190,000 families in need will benefit free text books studying from the first to fourth grade at school, Albanian Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Ogerta Manastirliu, declared on Sunday.
Manastirliu made this declaration during a visit to a family in the city of Vlora, south Albania, who benefits from the economic aid program.
"This decision to give free books to children of families, points out the Albanian government's attention to the education of children that are the future of a European Albania," underlined Manastirliu.
According to Manastirliu, all families in Albania benefiting from economic aid will receive a special allowance for each child who does not abandon school and for any child who is vaccinated.
