Six people killed in Philippine fire

MANILA, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- A fire that hit a commercial area in Quezon City suburb in Metro Manila early Saturday left six people dead.

Authorities said five of those, who died in the fire that broke out after midnight in Novaliches, Quezon City, are members of a family who were fast asleep inside their store that sells second-hand clothes.

Authorities were still investigating the cause of the blaze that was extinguished two hours later.
