CHARIKAR, Afghanistan, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Two security personnel lost their lives and two others sustained injuries as a blast rocked Khalazai area in the outskirt of Charikar, the capital of eastern Parwan province, on Saturday, provincial police chief Mohammad Mahfoz Walizada said.
According to Walizada, the security personnel were busy defusing an explosive device on a road in Khalazai area this morning when the device exploded, killing two on the spot and injuring two others.
However, Taliban militants in contact with media described the blast as a roadside bombing, claiming the roadside bomb planted by the militant group struck a vehicle of security personnel, killing several persons.
