BEIJING, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Allianz announced on Tuesday that the insurer will join the "Worldwide Olympic Partner" (TOP) Program in 2021.
Piao Xuedong, head of the Organizing Committee for Beijing 2022, said: "We have been informed that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Allianz Group have signed the partnership agreement. Joining The Olympic Partner (TOP) worldwide sponsorship programme, Allianz Group will become the official 'insurance services' partner. We offer our congratulations on this partnership."
The organizing committee said that a "capable Chinese insurance partner" will be selected as the official insurance services partner of Beijing 2022. This partner will operate in conjunction with Allianz Group.
