FRANKFURT, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 107.46 points, or 0.88 percent, to close at 12,326.48 points.
Tire specialist Continental won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.84 percent. Material manufacturer Covestro and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer rose by 3.57 percent and 2.84 percent respectively.
Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 0.86 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE down by 0.51 percent. Personal-care company Beiersdorf down by 0.37 percent.
Bayer was the most-traded share with a turnover of 384.80 million euros (452.87 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
