JAKARTA, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Malaysian rider Mohd Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil took the spoils in the third stage of the Tour de Siak in Indonesia's Riau province.
Abdul Halil, who rides for Malaysian outfit Team Sapura Cycling, crossed the finish line first in a time of 3 hours, 43 minutes and 53 seconds.
In second place was Indonesia's Muhamad Nur Fathoni of the BSP Siak team, with the top three rounded out by another Malaysian rider, Mohd Harriff Saleh of Terengganu Cycling Team.
The third stage began and ended in Siak, passing through the regions of Dayun and Buatan, and totalled 161 km in length. The upcoming fourth stage consists of a 92 km ride through Siak City.
13 teams are taking part in the 2018 Tour de Siak, which began on September 17.
The Tour has a total prize fund of 750 million rupiah (around 51,000 USD), according to local tourism chief Fauzi Azni.
