LONDON, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- A huge blaze has broken out in a leisure centre in northern London, with 80 firefighters at the scene, local fire brigade said Tuesday on Twitter.
The London Fire Brigade said the Highbury Cresent by Highbury Place and Fieldway Crescent is closed due to a fire at Highbury Leisure Center.
It said fire crews from at least seven stations were in attendance and the cause of the fire, at a single-storey building, was not yet known.
The fire brigade tweeted that around 100 people left the building before the firefighters arrived.
"There are no reports of any injuries at this stage," it added.
Photos shared on social media shows that smokes can be seen smoke can be seen rising above the building from miles across the city.
It is reported that the Highbury Leisure Center is newly refurbished.
